The point I am getting at is it isn't always the bow user, and I don't think Outlander is going to take the title. Sorceress from D2 and Paladin with enigma from D2.
In which case, you forgot several examples of games that date farther back. In other words, able to deal the most damage while avoiding the most damage. But let's be real, ranged DPS always have the best survivability. And just like all of them, I'll have angry Outlander player now replying and saying how much skill it takes, etc etc etc. Just like in Diablo 3 it was the Demon Hunter.
